Managing exam and revision stress

If you have an exam coming up then you may be feeling apprehensive.

Many students worry if they will be able to cover exam content or worry about the final result. These feelings are not uncommon and can be managed.

If you have exam anxiety:

  • Prioritise commitments
  • Exercise regularly
  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Avoid too much caffeine and energy supplements or drinks
  • Make sure you know the exam venue and plan your route in advance,
  • Thoroughly check the content and your notes (if in doubt contact your tutor asap)
  • Plan out some study time
  • Meet up with friends or have small breaks in-between periods of revision
  • Believe in yourself – aim for your best but don’t forget, no one is perfect so don’t try to be!
